When Cyrus closes a door, the Protectorate's survivors find another way through.

After Cole stood up to take her role as the new regent for Elysium, the second Town Hall Meeting was held. Although not much was decided, there was still one major decision to be made. To accelerate the development of Mytikas it was decided that one of the larger spacecraft had to be brought down. If successful, that would lead to enough available power to keep major industries online for the whole time.   Under the lead of Jeonia, Bavi'D, Carmen and a handful of others maneuvered the spacecraft. Despite it being a monstrous task, they managed to bring the spacecraft down in one piece and intact. The next morning those same people were intended to bring the reactor online and to prepare everything to make this power usable to the city. But when they arrived, a mob of people was already trying to tear apart the whole ship. Desperation and the lack of construction materials being a driving force here. Engineers being engineers, it needed another person, Kayden, to bring the people back in line. But the damage was already done. Nonetheless, the crew tried to make the power of the ship accessible to the city. In a moment of mental absence, a member of the crew shorted the reactor with the very structure of the landed spacecraft. Resulting in unbelievable destruction and fires all over the place. Despite the rest trying what they could, it ended in a disaster. The reactor destroyed and not usable for the city. Lead engineer of Mytikas, Jeonia Sawall, died during the chaos.   But where one door closes for Elysium, at least one new door presents itself.   In this case, it's been two gates that open up. In the northern mountains, Eli and Andra get lucky in their search for things that the former citizens of Mytikas left behind. They find a big storage of goods that the Lamplight Foundation hid in said mountains. All of it could be used to rapidly develop the city.   The second gate is something else. On her diplomatic mission to Haphaestea, Pearl is successful where Cyrus failed and she gets the chance to really earn their trust by finding out whats going on in Chiron, another of the big cities on the planet. But this mission takes an interesting turn. Pearl gets granted insight into something that only some handpicked citizens of Chiron know of. She sees and enters a so-called L-Gate. All that is known so far is that this L-Gate connects Heras with a planet that is behind a powerful MES-storm and claimed by the so-called "The Weeping Company". This group supposedly saved Chiron multiple times through trade. But the knowledge about the Gate came with a price. Pearl had to lie to Haphaestea about what's going on in Chiron.   The two gates changed Mytikas position for the better. One with the resources behind it and the second with the new geopolitical position Mytikas achieved.
