Silvano's dream to create a safe-haven for psychics comes to fruition.

The Academy was a long held vision of Silvano's, and at the beginning of the second year the colony was on planet, it became a reality.    There was genuine fear of cabal before the academy opened, and although no psychics had been attacked by frightened neighbors, there was a great sense of distrust. Some secretly blamed their MES sensitivity and use for the disaster, others simply did not understand- but both schools of thought were dangerous things to leave fermenting.   A modest facility was designed , and built, most notably by Renda, one of the most powerful telekinetic, and one of the first psychics in hiding brought back into the light by Silvano's dedicated searches. Its opening was grand, and several demonstrations of psionic power were undertaken, in a bid to educate the colonists about MES.   For now, it seems to have worked. The academy now devotes its time to looking for psychic refugees it can help, studying MES and its uses, and trying to figure out what exactly caused The Scream.
