Zerene
Zerene is a young woman with precognitive and telekinetic abilities, from the planet Astyoche. She survived The Scream, too young at the time to have her MES sensitives in a mature enough state to be triggered by the disaster.
As her world regressed into savagery, and her village in ruins she along with the handful of survivors rallied and changed their way of life. Using her skills and abilities, the villagers became a fierce clan of raptor riding bandits, taking supplies and personal wealth from surrounding settlements and eschewing the use of the teleportation pyramids the rest of her people used.
She ran afoul of the Elysium Protectorate by refusing Valentina's offer to join for what Zerene thought was an absurdly small amount of credits.
Kayden Zayre approached her one time in 2667, offering her a place as an elite scouting unit in the growing Protectorate Army, along with the privileges of a contributing citizen. She did not need psychic powers to know that her way of life was about to come to an end with the Protectorate's repeated interest in the planet, and instead folded, electing to join.
