Wolf Beetle
Carnivore
Ubiquitous to the forests of Gudrun, and anywhere else the Underhill Collective has spread- the Wolf Beetles hunt in packs.
It was confirmed that Wolf Beetles were a species domesticated by the Underhill for use as trackers and scouts. Later, the Taros Confederacy and later UNW at large has also worked to domesticate them as well, finding their behavior similar to canines.
Wolf Beetles chirp when communicating, the low hum is disconcerting to those never hearing it before, and the pitch changes to convey different types of information.
A hunting call is described as a high pitched buzz saw, where the mating call is something like a low warble.
Hatched from eggs, the Wolf Beetles reaches maturity quickly and has a lifespan of just a few years.
