Underhill Crystals

These crystals were first discovered growing in one of the established Underhill nests, a bedding material for their queen's to lay in. When an extermination team consisting of Silvano, Seung, Valeria, and Matthew engaged the queen in combat, the psionic members of the kill-squad found their powers greatly enhanced.   Several samples of this psionic conductor were taken after the battle, and were analyzed over the past year. The results are as follows.   Thus far, only Psychically gifted individuals have been able to activate the energy stored within.     Each crystal has only been able to store one charge, but it appears to last indefinitely, until used.   The activating psychic does not need to know the technique within to be able to unleash it, as the infuser has already imprinted its use within the crystal.   Techniques 0-2 can be charged into a crystal by one user, and it takes no effort to release, only infuse.   Techniques 3-4 require two users, both who have knowledge of it, and as above, it takes no effort to release   All known techniques but those of the nullifier school may be stored inside. The strange MES dampening effects do not allow energy to bond to the crystal lattice properly, and the contact fails.     It has been determined that these crystals are not renewable resources. They do not occur naturally, and the conditions needed for their growth were removed with the extinction of the underhill. Once the remaining crystals are mined from the former nests, there will be no secondary growths.
