  The Tsarku system orbits a bright red dwarf star. It consists of a planet covered in toxic chlorine gas closest to the star, an inhabited arid world with a broken but barren moon, and a gas giant orbited by two moons covered in ice.   The inhabitants of the arid system live on rocky outcrops rising above the badlands around them, on the slopes of mountains, and on large stilt cities supported by massive industrial columns buried hundreds of meters into the sands below. Ingenious moisture traps, wind farms, condensers and other assorted technologies harness the wind, air , and sand to provide moisture, supporting a slowly growing population. Trade, transportation, and war are done in ski equipped sailing ships that skim over the dunes , bringing riflemen , cannon and pikes to bear on one another.
