Truncated Crag-Hopper

  The Truncated Crag-Hopper is a species artificially created deep in a Lamplighter species preservation vault. It was engineered by the New Moon Cooperative explorer Halite, with assistance from Elysium Protectorate biologist Moff Cvk-Tarilli .   The Crag-Hopper is designed to inhabit the planet Leda to fill a Conservation Society bounty there allowing for the other species there to have a new diverse source of food. Crag Hoppers travel in packs between five and ten consisting of a male or pair of males, with the rest females along with any babies recently born to the pack.   Though they are omnivores the Crag-Hopper prefers plant matter and will go out of its way to seek out tougher material like vines, clinging ivy, and other rough foliage. Leaves, thorns, bark and seeds are among its favorite things to digest.   The Truncated Crag Hopper prefers to run than fight when confronted with a predator species. If cornered it will use its powerful rear legs to kick and if time permits will also attempt to dig a burrow to escape. Its wide side-set eyes give it excellent peripheral vision and its sharp ears allow it to hear soft sounds from far off to provide as much early warning as possible.
