The Order of Quiet Oblivion

Led by Monsignor Edwards, the order tends the graves and chronicles the lives of those buried in the fields and monuments of their world.   They dislike interacting with the living outside the course of doing business, and consider those who would disturb the resting dead as especially onerous.   Most monks of this order are former political prisoners or religious outcasts from their own planets. One can hardly give the dead dangerous ideas.   New information was uncovered in 2669 as the Galatea Council formed itself into a true power block, earning the esteem of the order.    Rank Structure Monsignor Edwards Vicar Direct report to the Monsignor. Advisor to the Monsignor on one division of their Order. Graves, Chronicling and Recovery, Security.   Graves Division (30) Grounds Keeper (13) Digger (12) Stone Carver (5)]   The Graves Division is unique among the three sections of the Order. There is no hierarchy among those that tend to the physical resting place of the deceased in their order's care. All in this subsect of the order are treated as equals and they make their decisions in unison. This is also probably the most fervent adherents of their fellow monks. The care of the deceased heroes of ages long past was the highest calling of a Monk of the Order of Quiet Oblivion   Chronicling and Recovery Division (25) Curator (1) Chronicler (2) Scribe (10) Archivist (2) Registrar (10)   The High Curator Martina Ward is an ambitious woman who is hoping to become the next Monsignor after Edwards. Which she hopes is soon as she does not want to be too old and then passed over by someone younger. Being the High Curator, her Scribes and Registrars keep her appraised of all the comings and goings of the Order. If there is something to know about anything that happens on Eriphyle, the High Curator is the one to seek out. She is a squat woman, with no neck to speak of   The Chroniclers and Archivists of the division are largely responsible for managing the stories of the deceased as well as any pertinent meta-data about the deceased. A bare minimum set of data is collected on each person interred and when time permits, further research is done into the lives of each individual deceased.   Security Division (45) Commandant of the Guard (1) Vice-Commandant (2) Chaplain (2) Captain (2) Sergeant Major (2) Sergeant (4) Corporal (4) Guardsman (18)   Commandant Erik Jansen leads the Security Division of the Order. He is a man convinced that he has a divine blessing towards his purpose within the Order. While the other divisions squabble over internal politics, the Commandant and his security division ensure the physical security of not just the grounds, but the staff themselves. Especially the ones that are sent out to conduct further research on a particularly notable deceased. They are the warrior monks of the Order and provide unparalleled protection for Eriphyle and the charges that take up this mantle of responsibility to the Iron Stars
