The Grand Enchanted Pavilion

The Grand Enchanted Pavilion is an act of music, sorcerous skill, poetry, and showmanship with exotic beasts founded in the heartlands of the Milthrilheart Elected Monarchy. Headed by the arcanely gifted Kaedon Vinobis and Cameron Locke, the troupe travels the territory of the MEM, putting on shows, entertaining the masses, and picking up all manner of adventures along the way. In addition to the two main performer-ringleaders, the pavilion is accompanied by several other experts.
Camille “Magpie” Allaire -- Juggler/Informant
Camille Alliare, better known as “Magpie” to the others of the EGP, was born to Josseline and Enzo of The Glittering City. Her parents were serfs in service to various low-level nobility. Her mother, Josseline, a seamstress’ helper and her father, Enzo, a laborer in one of the many mines owned by the House of Jewels. She is the younger sister of her twin, Robert, who is just a mere 7 minutes older than his sister. Camille and Robert lived a life that could never be described as luxurious, but they had the essentials. With a roof over their head and simple, but regular food, they were far from destitute. The streets of The Glittering City was her playground and later her education on life. Like so many other worlds, Kost was not prepared for the devastation that would come from The Scream. Camille became one of the uncountable orphans near instantly as the onslaught of psychics wrought incomprehensible damage. For a time, she lived off the streets, begging for what she could and stealing the rest just to ensure she saw another sunrise. As she grew the city was less and less hospitable to a beggar young woman. She found a group of ragtag individuals who were willing to offer her that which she was sorely missing. A family. Her brother had been missing for years at this point and she decided a life of highway banditry with a small ‘family’ was better than being stabbed for her food or her body in a back alley.   Eventually her luck ended or turned for the better, depending on how you look at it. The group of bandits decided to rob the up and coming polity fixers, Cameron Locke and Kaedon Vinobis. Their plot was swiftly dealt with and the girl was offered a choice. Hang from a rope off the Monarch’s Trade Road or join the circus as a performer and informant. Cameron and Kaedon took Magpie under their wing and prevented her from seeing the Monarch’s justice. She has taken well to the role of Juggler, Informant and most recently, infiltrator. She availed herself well when her clandestine operation directly led to Lord Vaine's capture
Aurelia – Acrobat/Security
A woman from the country of Kost who came to the city looking to improve their lot in life and help their family. She is the group’s acrobat and contortionist and the chief of security. Not to mention taking up the unofficial status as Magpie’s mom.   Magpie and Aurelia have become quite close since the wayward teen was taken in by Cameron and Kaedon. The unlikely bond has helped to ground each of them, but neither of them will ever admit it. As much as chief of security wants to act annoyed at Magpie’s antics… In those secret moments when she thinks no one is watching, Aurelia beams with pride as Magpie masters a new trick for her juggling act or the youth manages to come back with a juicy bit of intel for Albert. Aurelia has an outwardly kind demeanor and is a survivor at heart. While the circus wasn’t exactly what she had envisioned when she arrived in The Glittering City, she has happily stayed on with this unusual family of misfits
Matthew "ChevDuGank13" Lafayette -- Tech Expert/Visuals
For so many people on Kost 1, The Scream caused a complete destructive shift to their way of life. But few could comprehend the mental anguish that had befallen Matthew Lafayette. Known to friends and fellow guild mates as... ChevDuGank13. The "Chevalier" lost all his characters in the Kost classic "Globe of Battle" and more worryingly, many of his Guildmates had not logged in since the Internet was restored to the public. Months of combined efforts from that remain have been unable to return the glory they had risen to previously.   For nearly a year, Matthew didn't leave the confines of his Plainsguard apartment. A person with their skin ravaged by the acne you'd expect from a teenager. A waif of a human despite subsisting almost entirely on highly processed, calorie dense fastfood. Albert, the EGP's general manager, is Matthew's Mother's Sister's lawyer's Godfather and had always promised to look out for the youth. He managed to get the aspiring computer expert out his doldrums and into the world enough to support himself and keep his apartment. He got by on small stream of tech jobs to put just enough credits in his pocket to fund his digital kingdom. Albert reached out to Matthew after being released to the EGP as part of the custody agreement. It was this meeting that was going to change the trajectory of the techno wizard's life forever. What was promised to be a simple encryption cracking gig turned into him putting his digital signature all over the damning digital evidence of Lord Vaine's atrocities, Matthew quickly realized that his future now lay with Cameron and Kaedon for better or worse.   Their legend is now forever immortalized by his effort to bring down the terror that was Lord Vaine. His deft computer work allowed for the Stag Lord's escape route to be neutralized. A rising star within the EGP who has only just begun his digital conquest.
Albert LaRue -- Admin/Logistics
Born and raised in a tavern on the East side of Plainsgard, Albert is the oldest of six. From an early age Albert began his work in the Tavern his family owned. It was a small place. Enough for 20-30 patrons, a small stage that two performers could squeeze on to and a handful of rooms, one of which was taken over by the family. The eight of them crammed into a two room suite made for an interesting living situation that Albert wanted to escape as soon as humanly possible.   For as long as he can remember, Albert worked in the Tavern. Everything from mopping ale soaked floors to pouring drinks and eventually helping his father manage the back end of the business. It was here where the young man realized his talent for numbers and running a small operation. Albert was especially skilled at hiding income from the Monarch's tax collectors. He knew the line between suspiciously low profits and a struggling business. Under his watchful gaze, the family managed to pull in a respectable income and their prospects were looking up.   Eventually Albert was able save enough coin to move out of the cramped 'Plains' End Inn' and expand his horizons. While he no longer worked on the tavern floor, the young man still helped his father with the books and logistics behind the scenes. Albert used the connections he built to work the same admin and business magic for others in the hospitality space. Brewers, porters, coopers, carpenters and many others all employed Albert at one point or another as a business manager   For one reason or another his life was not overly disrupted by the events of The Scream. Sure he saw destruction and death, but luckily never directly touched his own family and life went on. People still needed a place to drink away their sorrows and memories and here was Albert to capitalize on it. With his savings he was able to purchase his own tavern. Thankfully in the wake of such a cataclysmic event. There were properties aplenty available for purchase in a place like the Coastal Semi-Autonomous Zone   Albert also became aware of the darker underbelly of the service industry in this post-Scream era. Profits on drinks could skyrocket if they begin watering down the alcohol. Games of chance and other games meant to entertain drunk people at the bar could provide the tavern with a never ending supply of credits if he just tweaked the algorithm a little. Of course he would have to bribe certain individuals and various officials to keep him out of jail. And that was just the beginning of the vicious cycle. Eventually his bribes began to outpace his profits and he finally sold his last watery quintuple IPA. His actions landed him in Sir Ameduke's prison to serve off a multi-year sentence. As luck would have it, however, he managed to have Cameron Locke and Kaedon Vinobis in attendance at the annual 'walk of shame' in the Coastal Semi-Autonomous Zone. He was granted clemancy through a work-release program and now works hard to ensure the material needs and various administrative business tasks of the EGP are in smooth running order
