Red Sangha 'Liberation'

Nanite concoction ingested by members of Red Sangha. The nanites mesh into the host's brain and are capable of producing copies of themselves off minerals and materials leeched from ingested food and drink after.   Anyone undertaking this cocktail of 'Liberation' nanites is consigned to die within fifty years from irreversible brain cancers. While alive, they will experience an emotional 'leveling off' where intense spikes of rage, happiness, sorrow, or other extremes are curbed.   The subject feels contentment, or mild annoyance at things that once would have driven them to heights of emotion, though objects, persons, or subjects that had their respect, or reverence, would remain important to the liberated individual.   Red Sangha's more purist adherents think this artificial liberation from emotional and material pursuits is a false Nirvana, and more traditional Therevadan Buddhists would also find extreme distaste in the practice.
