  The Psalairon system consists of a twin set of yellow suns, a large gas giant with a barren moon, and a temperate planet within the habitable region. Intercepted communications traffic on what few radio systems still exist on the ground show the world has reduced itself to several almost tribal cultures in the massive technological regression since The Scream.    The largest of these nation states is a Roman styled republic led by someone called Emperor Heins. They seem to be in control of a large swathe of territory in addition to the only space capable communications equipment on the planet. They also seem to be engaged in a war of conquest against most of their neighbors.   The Inheritor Alliance made contact with the local resistance on Pslarion in late 2669. Agents were quick to make contact with cells of fighters operating out of hidden camps in a heavily forested region on the planet's eastern hemisphere. Skirmishes and raids against Imperial forces were assisted by Alliance agents, giving the resistance fighters breathing room. During this conflict, the forced conscription, heavy taxation, and other abuses of the Imperial regime were discovered which motivated the Alliance to begin a formal invasion of the planet in late 2670. Months of fighting saw the capture of the eastern region, the surrender of the southern forces after their commander, General Quint realized continued fighting was going to lead to a greater loss of life, and finally the offer to conditionally surrender by Emperor Heins.   Heins was given this request for sanctuary, and was relocated to Stratus Outpost on Saliv. A provisional council is now in charge of the planet, and as of April 2671 the planet formally joined the Inheritor Alliance as their first true partner world.
