- Hundreds of Thousands of Inhabitants
Phegus is a system orbiting a bright yellow star, consisting of an inhabited planet, a gas giant, and an asteroid field close to the sun made of the remains of a formerly barren planet. The inhabited world is a mix of geography.
A tall mountain range crowns the world and a large settlement is on built on its middling peaks. Hostile wildlife resembling gargoyles patrol the tallest reaches. The heavily volcanic mountain range lords over an obsidian plain below where some of the mineral has been used by locals to form excellent tools and weapons. A large elevator from the mountaintop observatory settlement is in near constant use.
A large forest of spider/humanoid hybrid creatures looms in the west, bordered by a canyon and swampland. They were removed from the planet En-Masse by Protectorate Herald Daitrij in Mid 2668 and resettled on Elkano where they could form a society of their own someday.
Several encampments of other tribes also dot the land - one in a stilt settlement on the sea-coast, another in the ruins of a crashed ship, a third in the obsidian desert, and two others fight for control over a powerful cave - thought to be a site of immense MES power.
A large Nulmetalum deposit is also thought to be on planet.
After several months on planet learning the customs of the locals, United Nations of Worlds agents Frewayne and Pax were able to convince the natives to unite against a threat posed by shadow summoning psychics in the Bregulan Tower.
The battle was firece, and the psychics were ultimately defeated. Victory came at a cost in the lost years of harvest and foraging due to the conflict, and as the planet's most recent growing season ends, many grainaries and pastures are now empty. The locals are bracing for what could be a challenging few years.
In April 2670 the United Nations of Worlds expanded to officially administrate the planet.
