A branch of the Ai'Tre aliens lives on this planet in a rapidly advancing society. They have not yet unlocked the secrets of interstellar travel, and their space technology seems to be just enough for them to begin exploring their inhabited planet's moon and closest few asteroids. Their space communications are slow, and primitive, and are not capable of reaching passing ships without those ships moving into an orbital position. The system has the inhabited Ai'Tre planet that is hostile to human biology, a large asteroid field, a gas giant, and two barren worlds close to the sun. The wreck of an enormous generation ship on the second of the barren planets stands out to sensors, but conditions on the planet itself would prevent thorough exploration.
