Nullmetalum

Nullmetalum is a psychic dampening mineral first found on Terezinho, used openly in conflict by Remnant forces and their special mindhunter battalions.   The fine dust upon contact with skin or inhaled by a humanoid MES practitioner will cancel out psychic abilities in low core, or beginner levels of a discipline (0 to 1) , dampen them in intermediate users (2 to 3) , and cause extreme weakness in advanced users (4) , but with those most powerful minds, their powers seem to still be employable with extra application of effort.   The metal is malleable, and capable of being made into blades or solid shells, but the fracture planes of this element are numerous. Each war implement made with it must be made with a level of care that current mass production methods simply do not allow at this time.   Rumors of pretech devices made with cores of this material have circulated the Iron Stars since The Scream. It is thought areas under the protection of these devices may entirely dampen all psionic use.
