The Jahnavi system orbits around a pale yellow star and consists of a gas giant, a large asteroid field, an inhabited planet, and a molten planet in the closest orbit to the system center. The planet Jahnavi is the home of the Red Sangha Mercenary Corps. The planet has become tainted with nanomachines in its water supply after a fanatical group of Sangha members sought to artificially 'enlighten' the population. These nanomachines cause the afflicted individual to expire within fifty years of the ingestion date, typically causing a number of brain cancers Efforts are being conducted to try to purify the water and return the farmland to something capable of being tilled, though experts predict even when the water is cleaned, 3-5% of the population will still become artificially enlightened.
