  Pre Scream Population: 1.5 Billion   Halane is a tropical world that was once seeded as part of a former Slyth life seeding project meant to preserve tropical species and set them up in an environment where they could be lived with, instead of competed with by the planet's inhabitants. There is evidence they had left this planet to itself long before its new Piggen settlers arrived.   This planet is home to a robust seafaring Piggen culture made up of dozens of small kingdoms, khanate states, trading associations, and alliances as the political nature of the world changes as often as the tides. The locals are fierce, independent, and resourceful in their use of both the sea and jungles to provide for themselves.   Stripped of almost all technology, the Piggen here live similarly to the Viking cultures of old Earth.
