Session 5: Experimental Antics

General Summary

The star system that the Golarion exists in is large but only a tiny fraction of the material plane. It is part of a solar system with the sun at the center. This yellow star is also known as the Burning mother as it gives light and sometimes life to the 11 planets that orbit it.
  • Aballon, the horse known for its speed around the sun.
  • Castrovel, the green, representing fertility for those interested in the symbols of the stars, a planet known for being a home planet of the elves.
  • Golarion, the cage or child, the most diverse in habitat and creatures that occupy it.
  • The desert planet Akiton known to diviners as a symbol of war.
  • Verces known as the line and only ever shows the sun one face, One side known as Fullbright and the other as Darkside.
  • Then there is the dead planet Eox. Harsh and without air, but not without its own sort of life forms on it.
  • The next stated is usually the Wanderer, Triaxus. Known for its irregular and eccentric orbit sometimes out past Bretheda or closer than Castrovel.
  • The dreamer is the eight planet known as Liavara. It is a gas giant has many colorful rings with many moons that orbit. Some maybe even be inhabitated.
  • The ninth planet is Bretheda, the largest planet is known as the cradle due to its diverse ecosystems.
  • Apostae, the Messenger, is the tenth celestial body from Golarion's sun. It is distinguished by its unique, non-elliptical orbit practically perpendicular to that of Golarion.
  • Aucturn, the Stranger, the eleventh and farthest celestial body orbiting Golarion's sun is rumoured to be a large creature.
Travel between the planets of the solar system often requires magic, and most are connected via permanent magical portals. These bridges tend to either be lost or heavily guarded, resulting in very little interplanetary travel by these means, however other lifeforms have taken ships to the stars.

  • Fight
  • Tries to shock rose
  • She resists
  • Shota: Technomancy
  • Panel lights up
  • Drone lights up
  • Electricity
  • Most drones / robots / constructs like those are affected by electricity
  • This uses electricity as its weaponry, so it may not be fully weak to it
  • Probably balance each other out at best
  • Central Eye can swivel all around its body
  • Sneak Attack tough
  • Once it's out of the air, it's a lot harder for it to do anything
  • Thorn grapples it
  • rose finishes it off
  • rose & Thorn take it apart
  • Electrical gun in the palm
  • Possible that with a workshop she could integrate it into her gun
  • Flying mechanism
  • Might be able to attach it to something
  • Tracking Device [Thorn]
  • Once fed information about something, it will try to track it
  • Thorn excises and eats it

  • Thorn: Tracking Device (1:07:50)

  • Weedwhip: Vibrant planet, slowly but dangerously whips about its trio of tendrils with spiked heads – Communication limited
  • Kasatha: Grey skin, black eyes, smooth face with no proboscis. Each has a long, tall skull that extends behind their neck. Bodies are lean, but their muscles are strong. 4 arms that are all equally dextrous.
  • Language: Kasath
  • Boilborn: Red gelatinous form. No communication method known, but follows the scent of blood.
  • Cerebric Fungus: Brainlike Bulb - Telepathy
  • -- T seeks something and gets info none of us do

Break: 1:09:00; Information Transfer; Restart: 1:19:00

    Thorn
    – Searches for something with a higher authorisation level – Manages to find a Level 4 Security Clearance

    Shota
  • Missed description of this room she sees on the panel / screen
  • Option to call a medical bot
  • Asks the group
  • T: This unit was not a medical drone. It was deliberately ? To capture rose. These appear to be images of other facilities. Potentially hydroponics, garden,
  • Images:
  • Room with two orcs and a Ratkin
  • Talking; no audio
  • Horrible statuesque thing, looks like metal has been welded on to it
  • Person interacting with something large and glowing, with an internal purple light that's hot looking
  • She has purple hair, tattoos that are also glowing
  • Drones, but with attachments this one doesn't have
  • Flips rooms

  • Kolug
  • Clearly wanted to capture rose
  • Looks over it for League tech / alterations
  • Doesn't seem to have any
  • Despite similar view of the world

  • Plan
  • Follow Medical Drone to Sickbay
  • Thorn will remove its Clearance

  • Medical Drone
  • Tripod shape
  • Liquid in raised claws
  • Long injector tubes
  • Followed by a similar bot to what we'd just destroyed
  • Collection was asked for (oops?)

  • The Plan
  • rose
  • Fake faints on the steps
  • Thorn
  • Stays by rose's side
  • Shota
  • Still looking at the screen
  • Spots a closet behind her

  • Keeps an eye out
  • Bonnie
  • Keeps a close eye on rose

  • Medical Drone
  • Asks if First Aid has been administered.
  • T: Not enough time.
  • You are about to undergo a medical procedure. Please remain calm. You are in safe hands
  • Injects rose with something
  • Healed
  • Everything is trying to completely relax
  • rose digs her claws into her
  • We will bring you to a doctor shortly. Please remain calm.
  • Hovering one begins to lift her up
  • Dangles a little below the creature

  • The Closet
  • Shota finds a club, a gun of some sort, and shoves stuff into her bag

  • The Trip to Medical
  • Thorn says something to the Medical Drone, and it responds
  • rose goes limp, but holds on to one of the tools on her bandolier

  • Circular Room
  • 3 doors
  • Panels with something red flashing on them
  • Thorn apparently identifies it
  • Heads through South door

  • Medical Bay
  • Khonnir on a bed
  • Unconscious
  • Several things on him

  • Perception
  • B knows it's Khonnir
  • Stripe of grey, with rich brown growing out
  • Hair dye that's growing out
  • Dyed it both black and grey?
  • Large device humming beside him
  • Some blood
  • Looks like they're trying to prep him for the device beside him
  • Not working so well
  • Series of tubes attached to him, pumping something into him
  • Sees cuts, wounds that have been well-bandaged over
  • Whatever they are pumping into him doesn't seem to be working
  • Every so often there's a pulse/rush of it that stops his breathing for a moment, before it carries on laboured again
  • B thinks we should grab Khonnir and run
  • S wonders if they might just not know about people from Golarion
  • S & T looks at the panel or attempt to
  • T says Khonnir is not entirely human
  • K also looks around for the human
  • T says he might be Androffen

  • The Console
  • Purple button = death???!
  • 25 procedures executed on Khonnir
  • Each time what was notes was that his health declined
  • Prepped for stasis, but not taking on the statis process
  • T recognises that they are not acting out of malice
  • But basically torturing Khonnir
  • T can halt the procedures & shut down the medical drone
  • Can't shut down the Collector Drone

  • Rash Action
  • rose tries to roll of the bed and get under it, but is stopped by the Collector Drone
  • She tries to attack it, but only scrapes along it
  • Collector Drone tries to reach out to Project: Destiny, but gets no response
  • rose tries speaking to Khonnir
  • Wet groan in response

  • T gives Bessie a Nanite Storage Compartment

  • The Green Liquid Contraption
  • Kolug inspects the liquids
  • All sorts of effects, but generally become raging addicts to it
  • Symbols on the device, not words
  • Intended for use on humanoids and plantlife
  • Sensitive; not exposed to heat, or shaking too much
  • Studying different sorts of species
  • Liquids likely no longer stable
  • T: This contraption is disfunctional. Its original purpose can no longer be fulfilled. It would likely be long-term lethal to be injected with any of the compounds in it.
  • K wants to destroy the machine, very obviously
  • Shota
  • Weird memory
  • Deja vu?

  • Khonnir
  • Bonnie is examining him
  • They've done a number on him
  • A lot of tissue damage on joints
  • 'The light is on, but the machine's broken'
  • Bed rest could help; cup of tea
  • Tonics can help as well
  • Tonics Shop in Torch misidentified by Lyn as Tennant's Tinctures
  • Actual Name: Tempting Tonics
  • B thinks we need to get Kh out of here before he'll be able to get back on his feet
  • r outlines what she sees as the options for that:
  • Through the water; unlikely with Kh in this state
  • Find a different exit; will mean going deeper in
  • Lords of Rust
  • Either they know another entrance or have an escape plan
  • T says there are other alternatives
  • Gremlins were able to emerge into Torch
  • Requisition supplies or a spellcaster
  • r or B as best options, due to size

  • Headache Burst
  • Coincides with a burst of radation that Thorn detects
  • Thorn heals again
  • Khonnir looks unwell

  • Theory
  • The Scrapwall group who came in two weeks ago took something or damaged something that messed up the Flame/Engine

  • Rewards Granted

  • Cloak of Resistance +1
  • Electrictrical gun unit from the the Collecter bot
  • Club like object
  • Gun like object
