General Summary
There are many ruins from the Rains of Stars . Many of them hold technologies beyond the imagination of most of the local Kellids, but they have come to use and adapt them to their specific needs. Some to ease their everyday life and some for the war between the tribes. The Technic League tries to ensure the technology only gets into specific hands and tries to lock it mostly to Technic League. This has become an interesting battle, the Kellids have their unique charm and point of view of how the world works while the League… have their own view too.

Shota: Detect Magic
Entire space in front of her has a sort of background energy
Necrotic energy pervades the place
Massive crashing sound, like a fountain coming up on the door
Clearly slamming into the door
rose Immeidately identifies the problem with the doors
Doors have tilted slightly down, where sand has cluttered the area
Thick mass
Kolug can't move them
Shota can hear the sound of crashing, movement (ahead?)
Air smells of desicated rotting flesh
We manage to get the doors closed
Recovery Time
Thorn is in bad shape, rose starts examining it
Kolug scouts a little, with Shota & Bessie

Strange writings and symbols

Bonnie wants us to all look at the writings

Calls the 'Princeling' over to help carry Thorn

She also takes all the metal bands out of her hair and brushes it thoroughly
Shota examines the orb
Knowledge: Arcana
Knows there are spells that cast illusions and images
Some image, or sound, or both
Knows there's no magic involved in it, but technology
Could learn how to use magic to get the same effect
Drifts off once she starts to get tired
Bonnie spends the evening working on Thorn
B can hear a pattering noise, like someone pacing behind the door to the far north
Patters, paces, stops; erratically for several hours, like somebody's anxious
B eventually gets up to knock on the door
Immediately quiet for a period, followed by two heavy bangs
Thorn hears this
B: That doesn't sound friendly to me.
Patters away
8 hours in
Another burst of headache Rec: 2:11:00
B notices that T repairs itself for a small amount
B: Seems like this affect is meant to affect machines and we're just getting caught up in it

The Conversation
"I thought you'd gonme to the others. This is mine. This is holy."
Repeated
"The Hetouath doesn't like you here. You'll be cursed."
Voice filled with anger and fear
"Speak of others, if you're with them go to them. People keep coming in here ruining everything. He's doing the right thing. He's cursed,a nd he's blessed, leave him in his blessed home."
- Note: Headaches not affected by Khonnir leaving; only got worse when we entered the ship
T repeats what Shota said just in Androffen, like Shota
Thing does not understand them
Shota has a certain cadence to them, it was shouting back in absolute terror
As if god had just stood in front of it
It begins to calm, wailing like a child; I don't understand you, you scare me
"How do you know this? Who are you? Why do you terrorise me even more after so long?"
S: We're going to come to help you. Please don't attack us.
"Who are you? What are you saying? Why do you torture me?"
S goes to read the writing on the walls Rec: 2:45:00
Whoever wrote this was in awe, frustration, anger, adoration
All prayers
Reference The Shadow in the Sand, The Poison in the Plant, the Final Father
Whoever wrote this, either really loves, hates, or both this 'god'
Kolug goes to open the door
Thorn opens it just as he tries
The Next Room
Table with an odd looking chair
Transparent wall, where he can see the desert from a higher, different vantage point
Light similar to the previous place; symbols written on it
Emaciated, dried out looking thin creature
Head elongated
Four thin arms with weapons
Two short swords; two javalins
Spins around to him
Screams at him
Thorn steps into the room
Shota tries to connect with it on a psychic level
Tries to relay an empathic thing
It used to be humanoid, but is not anymore
It's a dead mind
It's replaying things
It's scared because it's been in a situation similar to this and it lost, and it's scared that it's going to happen again
Bonnie's Plan
Bessie make friends
Lowing sound, but different
Followed by a smell in the air
Sand, dry earth
Shota understands the words
"You're not them, are you? You're different."
Tries to get it to tell us its name
Hetauth
Thorn imitates
"Designation: Xμερα Unit 09" (Pronouncation guide: Chi-Mu-Epsilon-Ro-Alpha)
Shota tries to explain what Khonnir looks like
He's not understanding
He's still pointing his swords at us
Moves to the panel
Has learned how to do them
Transparent glass isn't a window
Images appear of the desert
People come in, a large group
Orcs and ratfolk, led by a purple-haired person
Clothing look like Scrapwall gangs
Fight with the skeletons
Break off, make a run for where we have
They didn't fully disable any of them
Separate incident
Repair bots dragging Khonnir
Thorn draws the symbol for Sickbay on the wall
The Gang
Two weeks ago, the Torch went out
Two weeks ago was when they showed up
Finding Khonnir
rose summarises that the Lords of Rust came in two weeks ago, and we don't know if any of them are still alive
Khonnir was seemingly alive (why take him to Sickbay otherwise), but no idea what happened to the rest
Thorn tries creating a Ouigi like tileo n the floor
He fears the symbols, but does recognise them
He understands 'Repair' in terms of the bots we've seen
Thorn points to symbols for Sickbay, Us, Yes
He pulls out a chain, with a card on it
Tosses it to us
Thorn inserts it into themself
rose tries to stop her, but can't
Gives out to her afterwards
"Don't do it again."
"Primary Override Accepted"
Immediately goes off to absorb other information
The Conversation Moves On
Bonnie teases rose about the 'unruly' person she's responsible for
Shota
Sense Motive on our undead friend
Life and death is a major theme, not always in the best of life
From the way things have been written, the way he reacts to things, and the mind she reached out to (as damaged as it is), he sees this as his curse; it's also his blessing
Feels bad for the thing
Unsure if she thinks leaving the creature here is a good or a bad thing
Asks Bonnie about the creators of this thing
Bonnie doesn't know, but guesses that the sickbay is getting people back on their feet and working at any cost
Bonnie lays dried meat on the floor as thanks
The creature doesn't seem to understand or feel gratitude
B: "An undead without hunger, that's strange."
S is worried that the Sickbay isn't meant to heal people
Finding Khonnir, Part II
T tells us Khonnir is held in statis within Sickbay
Health condition: Critical
B suggests that it
r is impatient to get to Khonnir and asks T if they can get us there
T tries the outside panel, but nothing there
Creature is guarding the panel in the room with us
B thinks we can just keep trying doors, as there can't be too many more left
T outlines the threats they got from the computer
Plant-Based Lifeforms
Cerebric Fungus
Multiple undisclosed but mobile entities
r interprets this as T saying that the more we explore, the more risk we'll be in
Consideration of ways to move the creature out of the way
S would rather not engage or harm it
K wants to distract it to allow us to move it away
r suggests a net
B is worried that the creature might be caretaking the flame that powers Torch
T dismisses this based on their analysis of the creature
B asks about putting the creature out of its misery
Killing the Mummy?
T runs a threat analysis
Everyone seems to start come to a consensus that rose summarises that we basically have to get past it
Thorn takes this as an order(?) to attack
- 2 Javelins (Bonnie)
- 2 Masterwork Short Swords (?)
- Cloak of Unknown (Shota)
