Truecrafter's Forge
Patron Myrron Wifaq Zakki
Located miles beneath the Great Work, the Truecrafter's Forge is one of the last remaining active laboratories of the ancient Fomorian Truecrafters, some of the greatest artificers to have ever existed.
Millenia ago, the Fomorian artificers decided to build remote laboratories to perform their most dangerous experiments, far removed from their cities. They sought ways of stabilizing the magic weave. When the forces of the Deep Dark, and later the Cyclopses began their invasion, the Truecrafters abandoned their laboratories and returned to their homes to aid in the defense.
For millennia the forges remained empty, many being destroyed by natural causes such as earthquakes and underground floods. Some were claimed by other civilizations or lone magic users.
When the Great Work was founded and the city began exploring the honeycomb of tunnels below the mesa, the forges were rediscovered. The artificers of the Great Work usually raid and dismantle them, hauling whatever valuable equipment they can find to the surface.
Explorers continue to venture ever deeper in the hopes of discovering the last of these forges. Not many remain, and most of those have been raided before or have been dormant for a long time.
