The Ohmites (oe-m-ie-ts)

Before sentients roamed the lands of Vanori, there once lived gods of great power among the planes of reality known as The Ohmites on the continent of Paephera. Millions of years of atmospheric turmoil caused deep wells of ohmi to appear across Paephera’s many regions. Each well that appeared formed in lands that would later become synonymous with the five elements of nature. The five elements were earth, water, air, fire, and aether. The gods, begotten in pairs, originated with great fonts of Ohmi that rivaled even the grandest of fantastical creatures akin to those known today.   In the earthen well, the first Ohmites formed were Gaia and Terran. Both were kind spirits that found peace among nature, and the wilderness cherished them. They dwelled among the flora and fauna and would often take respite in the mountains. The gods Eira and Marinus were formed soon after in the water well. The two water Ohmites were a shy coupling and found comfort among open bodies of water and the cold. The third pair to appear were the Ohmites Zephyr and Skai in the air well. Their place of solace resided in the skies amongst the clouds. They would often stir up destructive storms that would last for days across the Paephera. The fire gods Canicus and Soleil were next to appear in the fire well. For a time, the two of them were the strongest among the Ohmites, and they would fight frequently. Their disputes would become so tense that they would destroy swaths of land. Such fights were responsible for The Great Calamity of Dreumadall. They were the most feared until the gods of aether appeared.   They were the last to apparate but did not emerge from an ohmi well. Eris, the god of tenebre aether, was the first to materialize at dusk during a Blood Moon event. Hyperion, the god of brio aether, emerged during the first glimpse of a rare green flash at dawn. Their presence was felt instantly among the other gods, and they were drawn immediately to them. All could sense their aura was not quite the same as their own.
