- Standalone adventures / campaign. An adventure or series of adventures built into either a scenario or campaign, depending on length. Characters will be one-off for that adventure/scenario/campaign, and contribute to the development and history of Iolex.
- Roguelike/Roguelite. Adventures, scenarios, or campaigns linked together via successors to previous characters: children (whether adopted or born), trainees, apprentices, incomplete reincarnation, etc. History will progress as you play a character, and influence the world of their successors.
