1 Hero Point Expansion

Introduction: The basic Pathfinder 2nd edition uses of Hero Points, whilst useful, are not particularly compelling or even necessarily "Heroic". With the introduction of Hero Point Decks by various publishers, the concept of expanding the Hero Point system to include slightly more heroic uses than "get a re-roll once per session, or avoid death once per session".   As such, I am adding some testing rules for Hero Point usage. These options all spend Hero Points as normal, as per the usual uses. Note that all these additions are subject to change without any notice, as game balance dictates.   Hero Point Uses:
  • Prior to rolling any single d20 roll, you may opt to automatically count as rolling a die result of 15, adding modifiers as normal.
  • At the beginning of your turn, you may gain the quickened condition and ignore the slowed condition until the end of your turn. Do not decrease the duration of any slowed conditions you may be suffering from at the end of this turn.
  • Heighten the level of a spell you are casting by 1, up to the maximum level you are capable of casting.
  • Immediately before rolling a single attack that would suffer from a multiple attack penalty, ignore that penalty for that attack.
