Rite of the Night

One ritual that priests of Phoebe might perform is called the "Rite of the Night." This ritual is performed during the new moon phase and is meant to honor Phoebe's control over the darkness and the secrets of the night.   The ritual begins by gathering at a sacred place, such as a temple or a cave, at midnight. The priests will wear dark robes and carry a full moon symbol. They will light a fire and place offerings of fruits, grains, and meats at the base of the fire.   The priests will then begin a chant, calling on Phoebe to bless the night and bring wisdom and insight to those who seek her guidance. As the chant continues, the priests will begin to walk into the darkness, holding their full moon symbols high. They will continue to chant as they walk deeper into the darkness until they are out of sight.   At this point, the priests will raise their arms and face the new moon. They will continue to chant, asking Phoebe to bless the night and protect all those who seek her wisdom. After a few moments, the priests will return to the fire and extinguish it, as a symbol of Phoebe's blessings upon the night.
