Bolt, the Spirit of Lightning

Bolt is a Superior Spirit.He was born out of the worship of Lightning bolts. Associated with athleticism and competition, and revered as a patron of athletes and warriors.  

APPEARANCE

Bolt was a spirit of lightning known for his swift movements and powerful strikes. He often manifests as Catfolk and appears cheetah-like. His fur was a shimmering silver color, and his eyes shone with an otherworldly light, like two shining stars.   Bolt's most striking feature was his mane of electrified hair, which flowed around his head like a halo of sparks. It glowed with a dazzling blue light that could be seen from miles away and was said to be constantly charged with electricity. His ears were long and pointed, and his whiskers were thin and delicate.   Bolt wore simple, flowing garments, made of light and airy materials that seemed to ripple and dance around him like the winds. He was a graceful and agile being, able to move with lightning speed and strike with precision and power.   Overall, Bolt was a commanding and impressive presence, and his mere presence was said to be enough to inspire awe and respect in those who beheld him.  

PERSONALITY

He was a fierce competitor and always strove to be the best, but was also known for his graciousness in defeat.   Overall, Bolt was a beloved and respected spirit, revered by many for his strength, his wisdom, and his dedication to justice.

Bolt was a spirit of lightning who had been worshipped for centuries by a variety of cultures around the world. Born from the worship of lightning. From that moment on, he had been revered as a powerful and fearsome spirit, able to control the movements of lightning and harness its power for his own purposes.   Over the course of his history, Bolt had been worshipped in many different ways by different cultures. Some saw him as a protector and a guardian, while others saw him as a force of destruction and chaos. Regardless of how he was perceived, however, he was always respected and revered for his power and his influence on the world.   Bolt also played a role in many of the great myths and legends of the past. He had fought alongside heroes and gods in epic battles and had faced down some of the most fearsome monsters and villains in the world. His deeds had been passed down through the ages, and his name had become synonymous with strength and courage.   Despite his many accomplishments, Bolt remained humble and grounded, never letting his power or his reputation go to his head. He was always focused on using his abilities to protect and serve his followers and was greatly loved and respected by those who knew him.  

TRADITIONS & PRACTICES

There are ten commandments priests of Bolt must adhere to

1. Thou shalt respect and honor Bolt above all other spirits.
2. Thou shalt use thy powers only for the greater good, and never for personal gain or glory.
3. Thou shalt protect and defend the weak and the innocent, and stand up against injustice and oppression.
4. Thou shalt be truthful and honest in all thy dealings, and never bear false witness against thy fellow priests.
5. Thou shalt be humble and modest in all thy endeavors, and never let thy pride or ego lead thee astray.
6. Thou shalt be wise and thoughtful in thy actions, and always consider the consequences of thy deeds.
7. Thou shalt show compassion and kindness to all, regardless of their station or beliefs.
8. Thou shalt be courageous and brave in the face of danger, and never falter in the face of adversity.
9. Thou shalt be respectful and mindful of the traditions and teachings of the church and seek to preserve and protect them.
10. Thou shalt strive always to be a beacon of hope and light to the world, and be a shining example of Bolt's teachings and virtues.

 

Rite of Thunder RITUAL

One ritual that priests of Bolt often performed was known as the "Rite of Thunder." This ritual was performed during times of great need or crisis when the priests believed that Bolt's intervention was necessary to bring about a positive resolution.   To begin the ritual, the priests would gather in a sacred temple or grove dedicated to Bolt. They would then recite a series of prayers and invocations, asking Bolt to hear their plea and lend them his strength and power. As they spoke, they would offer up sacrifices of food and other items to appease the god and show their devotion.   Once the invocations were complete, the priests would form a circle and hold hands. They would then close their eyes and focus their minds, channeling their energy and will toward the summoning of the lightning. As they did so, a bolt of lightning would often appear in the sky, answering their call and signaling Bolt's presence.   The priests would then offer up their prayers and requests to the spirit, asking for his aid and guidance. If their request was deemed worthy, Bolt would often manifest himself in some way, either through the use of his powers or through the guidance of his priests.   The ritual would then come to a close, and the priests would thank Bolt for his intervention and offer up their final sacrifices and prayers of thanks. The ceremony would then end, and the priests would disperse, knowing that they had done all they could to bring about a positive outcome.
