Vice President of Mars

The Vice President of Mars is the second-highest officer in the executive branch of the Martian Republic, ranking directly below the President of Mars and first in the presidential line of succession. The Vice President also serves as an officer of the legislative branch, acting as President of the Senate and presiding over its proceedings when called upon by the Prime Minister, the President, or Parliament. In this capacity, the Vice President may not vote except to break a tie. All other responsibilities are assigned at the discretion of the President of Mars.
