Third lieutenant
A Third lieutenant is a junior commissioned officer rank. Third lieutenants are an entry-level rank for most commissioned officers in the Army/Navy (army sect), Air Force, Peace Guard, and Space Corps. It is equivalent to the Naval rank of Lieutenant (Junior Grade), and Second lieutenant in the Sword Masters Corps. In the Army/Navy, and Peace Guard, a third lieutenant typically leads a platoon-size element (22-50 soldiers). In the Army/Navy, the rank bears no insignia other than a sleeve braid on jackets and an officer's cap device.
