Tarein Rekdel
Tarein Rekdel is a Thauzunian historian, drifter, scav, and collector of the past. She often butts heads with enforcers from the Rav'thuun Syndicate due in large part of her chosen historical time period, The Fall and Pre-Fall eras. Her obsession isn’t a phase — it’s inherited. Her parents were historians too, killed by Rav’thuun enforcers soon after uncovering a discovery that could unravel everything the Vey’Zari believed about their own history. A secret that implemented Rav’thuun in concealing something big nearly 2,000 years ago.
Tarein is also the first practitioner of the ancient Pre-Fall religion, Thauzunian Orthodoxy. She converted from the non-theistic belief system, Zureth, after she uncovered a near mint-condition copy of a Thauzunian Bible. She keeps this belief a secret out of fear some will not understand and to avoid the attention of the Rav’thuun Syndicate.
