Chief of Command of the Army and Naval Operations

The chief of command of the army and naval operations is a statutory position in the Hierarchy Army and Navy held by a general or admiral officer. As the highest-ranking officer assigned to serve in the Department of the Army and Navy, the chief is the principal military advisor and a deputy to the Administrator of the Army and Navy. In a separate capacity, the chief of command of the army and navy is a member of the United Chiefs of Command and, thereby, a military advisor to the Security Council, the Administrator of the Military, and the Governor-General of the Hierarchy. The chief of command of the army and naval operations is typically the highest-ranking officer on active duty in the Hierarchy Army and Navy unless the chairman or the vice chairman of the United Chiefs of Command are Army and Navy officers.
