Elves

The eldest species of mortal, created by the sister moon goddesses Maruth and Vyreen.   Elves originated in what is now the continent of Longai, among dense forests. During the Age of Titans they lived in a sprawling collection of small cities centered on the Temple of the Moons in Kaitouhai. They lived in harmony with nature, molding their homes out of living trees and rock built up by druids. They were masters of druidic magic and tied their lives to the cycle of the sister moons.   During the Titans' War they were especially impacted, due to the death of Vyreen. During the cataclysm of her physical body colliding with Inlon, a number of elves lost their faith and cursed the gods for allowing this to happen. Maruth, enraged and grief-stricken by her sister's death, cursed these elves so that they could never look upon her light again. The cursed ones became Durodai, forced to live underground and only able to come out during the new moon.
