Nectar of the Ninefold Flame

This potion costs 160 ZY.
  • A potion that looks like bottled lava, unusually cold due to the enchantment on the bottle.
  • Main Ingredients and Equipment

    Ingredients

    -One Wyrdroot.
    -Wyrm's Heartstring
    -3 scoops Cinder Toad Slime

    Equipment

-A blackened cauldron, preferably handed down.
    -Bone Stirring Stick
-Nine candles in Red. (To represent the Nine Flames.)
    -Enchanted quartz vial.
I added Emberleaf and for some reason it turned the potion to ice.
Future Apprentice: Keep track of Emberleaf's qualities. I feel like I have mentioned it several times.

    Usage and Effect

    Usage

A potion of ignition, rebirth, and peril, woven from the volatile triad of slime, root, and heartstring. It is whispered to house the primal fires of creation and destruction—drinkable only by those who wish to burn away what they are to become something more. Can be used as an offering to the Flame god.

    Effects

Immediate reactions are that of warmth. Latent effects are unlocking an attunement with the Nine Flames, each one representing a certain aspect. Each of the nine flames represent some aspect of self and therefore are dealt with one at a time. Drink this potion only if you want to walk a spiritual path.

    Instructions

    1. Arrange the candles around the cauldron in a spiral. Light them from east to west, naming each flame: Spark, Hearth, Passion, Trial, Fury, Ash, Rebirth, Illumination, Transcendence. This is the most important step. Whisper: “From rot, the fire stirs.”
    2. Place the Cinder Toad slime in the cauldron first. As it bubbles, add the ground Wyrdroot.
    3. Coil the strand of heartstring into the liquid, stirring clockwise. Whisper: “From heart to flame, from flame to soul.”
    4. Stir nine times clockwise.
    5. Strain into a quartz vial while still warm and seal with wax from the 7th of the Nine Candles.

I use the 7th candle, due to the nature of the potion. Many alchemists actually use the first candle because it symbolizes an interest in the Flame god. However there are trials you'd have to face regardless of which candle you use. The Flame god hides himself behind his Nine Flames. You must complete all of the trials in order to have the Flame god bless you as one of his Firekeepers.

My favourite detail is the use of a blackened cauldron. Such a nice touch.
