Gloomspore Fungus

Known Region

Gloomspore Fungus grows in the Umbra Savannah and the Lower Caverns of the Bleakreach Mountains. Though it's possible that they can grow in misty swamps where sunlight never reaches the ground. They are known for its dim bioluminescence and small visible spores that float around it.

Properties

Generally, Gloomspore Fungus is used in sleeping potions or heavy sedatives. The spores can cause short-term memory loss if inhaled too frequently. There is a possibility that eating them raw can cause paranoia and hallucinations.

..As An Alchemy Ingredient

The spores do wonders in The Last Sunset potion. It also has its uses in the Umbra Veil Potion, Potion of Quiet Breath and Draught of Dreamless Sleep.

Gathering and Preparation Instructions

Harvest with a silver tipped knife and during the waxing moon. Keep in air tight containers until needed, the spores will accumulate at the bottom of the jar.
