Faewild Elves

This Article is a work in progress, please bear with me.

Overview

A lineage of both Fae and Elven origin, these Elves live in the liminal spaces that lie between the Faewilds and the Mortal Realm. Unlike the normal Elves who hold themselves to a high standard achievable only by them, or the Fae Folk who dance under the moonlight and frolic in the Faewilds. Fae Elves are graceful and beautiful while being unsettling and otherworldly. To Most mortals, they seem elegant with luminous eyes and voices that chime like bells. However, in the right (or wrong) light, they can appear haunting, with echoes of gossamer wings, flickering shadows and shadowed illusions that betry half of their heritage.

Myths and Origins

Some scholars think that these Elves are a result of the Veil between the Faewilds and the Mortal Realms tearing. The story goes that some elves landed themselves in the Faewilds, lead by Will 'O Wisps through the mists. There, they partook in the various parties the Fae folk held, dancing, drining Faewine and accepting gifts from capricious Archfae. It was said that when those elves tried to return to the Mortal Realms, they were so entangled within the Fae realm that when they tried to force the veil open, it tore. This created a place for those lost in the Faewilds to find solace, living a thread away from the Mortal Realms.

Others say that these Elves were chosen to guard the balance of the veil, so that no one realm overthrew the other.

Appearance

Many of the Faewild Elves look much like any other elf does but in the corner of your eye you will usually see a glimpse of the glimmer that surrounds them.
The thing most notice first is the eyes of Faewild Elves. They are iridescent pools of shifting colour depending on mood.
Their hair is usually pale silver, lilac, or deep hues that shimmer with inner glamour.
They are often described as both mysterious and uncanny in their demeanor and appearance.

Wow. I've never heard a Faeble like that before. This story seem beautiful. I love the idea of them being the "Guardians of Between".
