Chusett had long before been established as a fort, but this day marked it becoming a township. The area was deemed to develop as a port for easier access to goods from the north.

1918 Labor Riots
Civil actionRampant abuse from employers left many feeling forced to take action. Thousands organized the largest labor strike in Chusett which unfortunately turned to riots following the arrest of the arrest of Charles Doolan.

Civil actionWith the Health of Chusett Bill of 1947 came the powerful Administration for Safety and Health. Years later, many of the then councilmembers would regret their decision.
