The Tabernacle of the High Peak

The Tabernacle of the High Peak, also known by lesser names like "The High Peak," or "The Peak Tabernacle," is one of the several locations of religious convergence in Altan. The building is one of three in the city that serve as shrines to all gods, supporting any and all harmless religious practices to take place. The main hall of the Tabernacle is a large, circular room, containing seven, evenly spaced statues on the circumference of the room, each to one of the seven main gods in Altan, then a single statue in the center, below a skylight, which is used as a statue to represent all other gods not already present.   A strong divine energy flows through this area, and each statue may appear to light up with the use of "Detect Magic." Those in the Tabernacle may wish to avoid using such a spell, as the effect can cause a headache, but the divine power makes it clear that this place is truly a place of gods.   The center statue, though meant to symbolize all gods, does not resemble any of the other gods in any particular way. The statue itself is of a humanoid figure, with approximately 8 arms in various positions and postures, and a head completely covered by a pod-like mask. The statue's figure is covered in robes and silks from shoulders to feet. At this statue, if people do not find their gods among the seven statues- Raimos, Oiequo, Cil'dann, The Shroud, Jagerv, Ry'Villus, and Lystra- They may pray here to contact and pray to their own god.   The Tabernacle is maintained by a single priest, who lives in a small side room from the main chamber- Janneth Wellsborough, a Gnome, whose faith appears to change from day to day.   The Tabernacle is also a hub for other adventurers to take up jobs, having several job posting boards outside the structure for potential employers to post quests for others to take- This was an action taken up as Altan's religious roots grew stronger, and adventurers seeking to avoid the debauchery and drunkedness of taverns (Due to being of stricter religious beliefs) to take up work.
