Morimyr
Morimyr is a city of trees, on the edge of the Xorisean kingdom's land. The city itself is not affiliated with Xoris, but has dealt with them in the past in forms of trade and military action. Morimyr is a religious city, based upon the church of Solinari- The God of Good Magic. Unlike the rest of Xoris, this city is dominated by an elven population, and at times is considered its own political faction.
The City itself is warded by illusions, making it difficult to find- The wards form a circle around the city's border, making the city appear as though it were a swampy forest, but crossing this border reveals the whole city to any who enter. Elven scouts often patroll well outside the border to ensure that those passing by are redirected around the city's wards. To be able to see through the wards, one would need the Gift of Truesight, be a Cleric or Paladin of Solinari, or have previously visited the City (And not been banished by the council, under which case they would remove the person's ability to see through the wards).
Morimyr is governed by a single, High Priest, who runs both the church and the state of the city, while being advised by the High Council, which runs any criminal trials and legislation. The High Priest's role in the governing is largely Monarchial, being in control of all aspects of the city and its legislation with little resistance by the Council.
In recent years, however, the city has been encountering issues with rising cult activity, and worship of a fiend referred to in books as "The Strength." Little is understood about this cult's goals, as most of the resources are burnt as quickly as possible to avoid tainting the minds of the populace.
