The Blightguard
The Knights of Steinarr Stonewald. These stalwart paladins are the last of the old guard and followers of the ways before Haven's unification. The Blightguard primarily hold two powerful duties. The first and most important is the defense of the Blightgate. From the Cataclysm until present day the Blightguard has protected the ancient Blightgates from both internal and external assaults. Also, they provide an honor guard to the High King and advise him on Blight incursions or external threats to the kingdom.
The second duty is that of guardians of the Books of Binding for the enlisted members of the Repentant. This concession was request by the conquered kings during the unification. Though the High King still controls access to the actual contracts in the Binding Books through the Keeper of Keys, it is the Blightguard who protect the physical books themselves.
With their massive suits of plate armor and Wolfram Shields the Blightguard strike an imposing figure. Favoring oversized weapons and a zealous belief in protecting the weak they are a mighty force.
