We started this session saying goodbye to our old friends of Mithrowl and Dulin Bonetoe as the two of them go off to seek new voyages for themselves. We took a ship across the Dread Run, the river separating the Domains of Yandren and The Feared Domain.   On this voyage, the Gang learned (perhaps) not to speak quite so loudly and openly about their journey so far. Mantis Bugbattler may have spoken a bit too loudly while talking to the cook, and a spy for a secret cult of Asmodeus. Eles Raagha found out by noticing him sending off a raven. She sent Guatir after the raven, and read the note to discover the truth about this merchant. There was as brief chase about the ship, where they discoved the sniveling spy in a crate with a false-bottom clearly meant for smuggling. The gang got very little information out of him before he died, the first time. After keeping him in hiddeous vines, and frankly tortured, they brought him back to life to continue questioning him. This is where they learned of the cult of Asmodeus before dropping his corpse over the side of the ship through a porthole.   After the gang "questioned" him and found out about his true plans, Eles brought the ship out of the destructive currents they were in, away from the monsters and other wickednesss that inhabits the bracish waters of the Dread Run, and landed it securely in the harbor.   But their troubles were not completely gone. Word had made it to Malakar that they were going to cross the river, and he sent a batalion of goblins to meet them. Merrli thinking quickly managed to save the situation with some poisoned gas in a cloud on the docks. The gang then "questioned" the captain of the goblinss to discover who was behind the plot.   Making their way to the eastern gates of Affgroth, Dara Riswynn Proudstone rememberd that it was the Kinfire Festival! A massive biennial festival celebrating the great Clangeddin Silverbeard and a large battle the Dwarves won long ago. This festival involves a massive tournament between the great houses of the Dwarves to determine the true champion within each house, an auspicious title, and the great warrior themselves. The Great Warrior is whoever wins the duel between the housess, and that house is said to be in control of the council for the next two years until the festival again. The Proudstones have won for 12 of the last 15 festivals.   As they enter the city, Dara Riswynn Proudstone sees one of the training camps for the Proudstones, and begins to train to be the champion; however, durring this training it is revealed that she is indeed the daughter who ran away, and Umstrek Axeshoulder fights her. As the fight is nearing its end, and it looks like perhaps Dara won't win, Dorath Proudstone NPC comes charging into camp demanding to speak with Dara privately.   Dara says no. Through the argument and battle of wills, Dara comes out triumphant, and Dorath returns to his chambers to wait for Dara to speak with him within the hour. The gang head into the center of the city along a canal first, gazing up at the massive crystal hanging in the air. Eventually they show up at the door to Dorath's chambers and head inside. Dara shoving aside both doors with a specific lack of any sort of respect.
