Candlekeep

Known as the Central Archive for Natural, Diplomatic, Literary, and Ensorcellment Knowledge, for Education, Enlightenment, and Preservation, the Candlekeep has been a resolute tower in the hidden distance for quite some time.   Originally organized by four Dragonborn in the first decade of the Second Era, Candlekeep has grown significantly since its inception. Now it has seven towers, History, Religion, Politics, Evils, Magics, Nature, and Arts. It has hundreds of Acolytes of all different backgrounds, though one thing has remained since the founding: all are welcome except the unwelcome. If allowed inside, while strolling through the halls of the Library, you will see people of every race, and every background, and the only ones who are turned away to be Acolytes, are those who are unwelcome to other races.    The goal of the Candlekeep was to keep all knowledge for decaying. The founders saw what happened to knowledge gained in the First Era, and how it was wiped clean save for the militaristic knowledge. They did not want something similar happening over the next Era, so they decided to do something about it and keep an Archive.
