The Stormbound Alliance

The Stormbound Alliance was established in 17 BEG as a coalition of human religious groups and refugees fleeing the bloody conflicts of the North. They settled on the islands of the South Imago Sea, where they formed a small kingdom under the rule of the Quillson family. The Quillsons, known for their charismatic and politically adept leadership, were rumored to possess a draconic bloodline, which added to their mystique and influence. Initially met with skepticism from the islands' citizens and even more so from the native elves, the Quillson family gradually won over the population. They achieved this by fostering trade, offering protection, and demonstrating strong leadership, ultimately transforming the alliance into a durable kingdom spanning numerous islands. The formation of the islands did not come without its struggles. The drow, seeing the settlement of the Alliance as a provocation, emerged from the Underdark and launched an assault. The exact number of deaths is unclear, but 20-30% of the population of the Alliance died in that very year. Many died in the battles with the drow, but many more died in the famine and natural elements that resulted from the ensuing storm season. From the poorest peasant, to the King himself, every Alliance member knows of this day, and many fear the drow because of it.
