The Longest Journey
Welcome to the hub article that gathers all five parts of a story very close to my heart, written for a truly inspiring challenge hosted by Tyrdal, which ran from September 2024 to January 2025. Each month brought a new prompt centered around the theme of journeys, and with every entry, I was encouraged to explore new narrative paths and emotional depths.
This was the very first challenge I participated in since joining World Anvil, and it marked a turning point for me creatively. What began as a simple attempt to keep up with the prompts gradually transformed into something far more meaningful: a complete and continuous story.
At the heart of this tale is Rohan, a character who had long lingered in the background of my imagination. I’d thought of him many times but never quite knew where he belonged or how to bring him to life within Kena’an. That changed during this challenge. With each prompt, Rohan’s story began to take shape; his struggles, his growth, his place in the world. By the end, he had become not only fully realized, but essential to my worldbuilding. This challenge really helped me uncover his story.
