The Sovereign Shift

The period of time directly after the defeat of The Eminarch was massively transformational. The Sovereign inherited a broken and hurting world accustomed to hardship and chaos. Lawlessness was widespread and no one had the resources to care for their themselves, much less their neighbors. At the same time, massive groups of people were being released from the claws of The Eminarch's mind control and had very little idea as to who they were or what resources they had left.

The Sovereign took it upon themselves to rebuild the world with the values of hope, honor, peace, and sovereignty at the center. It took them the better part of a century, but eventually the world began to remember how to function. Nations were able to reform and new religions following The Sovereign became global and widespread. At the same time, mortals began to look towards the sky and wonder if they could do what The Sovereign had. In an era defining move, The Sovereign chose not to punish these mortals and allowed them to climb the ladder towards divinity to sit beside them at the throne of the world. Over the next centuries, many mortals would come close to achieving godhood, but few, if any crossed the final threshold.
