Encounter with the Cultist at Oaken Crest

The party discovered a cultist of Vordakai on the outskirts of the City of OakenCrest

The first stop on there journey saw the party arrive at the city of Oaken Crest, the city where Briar found refuge after the destruction of Nayla's Gift. The party spoke to the Innkeeper of the Gold Leaf Inn and learned that recently rumors surfaced of missing children and strange lights.   The party then traveled to the shepherds on the outskirts of the city and spoke to the Faelin Family, they were informed from the Father that there 6 year old had gone missing in the night.   Following the tracks from the house, the party discovered a strange blue green ooze, seeing a bit of clearing ahead the party found an old ruins. This was once a apart of the city of Oaken Crest, but was destroyed in the Gods War.    After investigating the ruins, the party chose to conduct a stake out, using Briar as bait. The stakeout bore fruit as 3 balls of light began to appear, and disappear in the night before converging on Briar. At this time a mage emerged from the ruins and watched. a fight ensued and the party discovered that the mage was a cultist to Vordakai, and the globes of light were in fact, the corrupted souls of the 3 missing children. John interrupted the cultists ritual, setting the cultist on fire, and Claude set the souls free by smashing the Jars, a tome believed to be written in Abyssal bearing the mark of Vordakai.   The cultist was kept alive, and the party prepared to return to the city of Oaken Crest
