The Eight Necromantic Alchemies

In the long-forgotten ruins of the Dawi, arcane secrets lie, waiting for adventurers to unearth them. Much of this forbidden knowledge involves necromancy, as the Dawi were known for testing fate, luck, and the cycle of life. Their discoveries are encapsulated in the Eight Necromantic Alchemies, a set a runes that can be used for many purposes.   In days of old, Dawi necromancers would master these runes and inscribe them on their undead creations, causing a variety of powerful and inhumane effects. Those who were truly masterful at this technique could combine multiple runes into a single undead creature, and the powers would compound to unforeseen heights.   Today, the Cult of House Markol is seeking to master these runes again. A prophecy tells them that "the Child" will come soon and be able to master all eight alchemies, creating the most abominable undead army Illica has ever seen.
