Sloshdadt, The Gem City
Sloshdadt is a city of great wealth and infamy. It's gem-laden lands have drawn out Tarkir's greediest politicians, and the city has fallen under the control of corrupt families in the past (the von Jotenheim's and the Torgerson's to name a few). Currently, the city is under control of the Dreygu Family, and things seem to have grown more stable.
Still, the main appeal of the city is its gemstone mines, hundreds of miles of which run underneath the nearby mountainsides. Jewelers from all over Illica seek out Sloshdadt's gems to make their finest products. It is the responsibility of whoever leads Sloshdadt to make sure this immense wealth and influence is not misused.
