Ebitas
Demographics
populated by a myriad of aquatic races, including water genasi, naiads, tritons, sea elves, merfolk, and merrow.
Defences
Guarded by trained barracuda on the outskirts of the city, and incidentally protected from above by a colony of jellyfish.
Industry & Trade
Pearls are the main source of income for the city and when the city is thriving, some citizens who can breathe both water and air will serve as ambassadors to on-shore cities to trade pearls for other resources that the city can use.
Pearls can also be used as currency. Traditional currency is not used in Ebitas.
Points of interest
There is little natural light from the sun filtered through at this depth, but the city of Ebitas is aglow with the help of small bioluminescent creatures in caged lanterns and bioluminescent mosses of various colours lining the various structures. Bioluminescent jellyfish also float above the city, casting soft light below.
Architecture
Some buildings are built from stone, but most appear to be using the natural crags, stalagmites, and sea caves along the sea floor as a base and foundation for their homes and buildings. Deep sea corals of various colours and algae form the plantlife of the city.
Natural Resources
fish-life around the city are the main food source for the city's denizens.
