Colonizing attempts on Bedoke

The initial attempts by various nations on Tera to colonize their neihboring planet of Bedoke. These varied in degrees of success, with some continuing to survive and prosper, while others dying out after a few years.

The colonization of Bedoke is a rather famous failure in the history of Tera. Following a period of economic prosperity and no major wars or catastrophes, the population of Tera was burdgeoning and needed to expand. Several governments, including the Astrean Empire, Enamella, Nautillius, and even Caradel signed the Bedokan interplanetary colonization treaty, which removed the restrictions on astronomical bodies and owning the land on said objects. The Bedokan people were given little choice on the matter, either ignored, or forcefully subjugated, much like the natives on Nautillius 500 years ago. This continued until the Bedokan Revolution, the first major interplanetary conflict, marking a new era in warfare. This deserves its own article, so it won't be covered here in much depth. The Bedokan Revolution was successful, despite predictions otherwise, cementing the Bedokans as a growing power on the interplanetary stage. This marks the end of the colonization period, since after this war, a treaty was signed on Bedokan soil stating that no new colonization may take place without their expressed consent.
