Gunner
Anyway I pull out my gun and started blasting
Gunners are the first Ranger class to exist, and as such, they are simple by nature. Gunners play precisely how you expect. They pick up a gun and fire it at the target. Then, reload, reuse, and repeat. Because of their simplicity, most people tend to stray away from this class. However, like a contract, there's more than meets the eye when examining Gunner.
While Gunners start with one-handed firearms, like a pistol or flintlock, their potential isn't limited to those weapons. Gunners can use just about any gun they get their hands on, provided they have the proper training to use the gun. Another point to make is guns are pretty strong. They can take out most minions with a single bullet with good aiming. Bullets are pretty hard to dodge too. To continue the topic of bullets, Gunners can also switch out their ammo for different targets. These ammo types can be anything from explosive ammo to magically enchanted ammo.
Gunners, and similarly the rest of the ranger classes, fall into the category of looking simple on paper but capable of more than they seem. Some may only see them as simple and basic, but that's not the case because of how IDQ works. With proper training and planning, a Gunner could become an absolute menace or an extreme help to their allies.
Career
Qualifications
The primary qualifications for being a gunner are being able to use guns and knowing about them. In addition, to become a gunner, they have to undergo some training to qualify as a one in lore. There is a difference between someone who uses a gun and someone who is skilled at using firearms.
Career Progression
Despite how simple they are, Gunners progress in a very odd way. They have two advance classes and five master classes. Strangely, the advanced classes can go into any master classes. Because of this structure, you can have various gunners specializing in different things.
The two advance classes are gunslinger and arcane slinger. While gunslinger is a direct upgrade to the class, arcane slinger allows the use of magic. As previously stated, these two classes can upgrade into any of the five master classes in Gunner.
Then we have Stylist, Cowboy, Sniper, Tactical Shooter, and Bombardier master classes. Stylist revolves around the idea of "styling" on your enemies. Styling ranges from getting complex combos off on them, taunting, or being extra in general. Cowboys are relatively simple but still deadly, carrying a sidearm and finishing off people quickly. Snipers hide and wait to shoot their targets accurately, and bombardiers decide to go against the mold and throw explosives at their enemies.

Payment & Reimbursement
Like most adventurers, they get paid by completing their quest. Typically in XP, GP, and items.
Other Benefits
Besides wielding guns, Gunners are a few classes that specialize in technology. Most classes have no idea what modern technology is, so Gunners have the advantage of using gear that other classes have no idea how to counter.
Perception
Purpose
Gunners serve the role of DPS. Their guns do a lot of damage and they are capable of critically wounding a foe depending on if they shoot them in the correct spot. In some cases, they can serve the role of utility, or grab the attention of the monster.
Social Status
People see Gunners in two very different lights. One view is that Gunners are a high damage DPS and respected and valued among the community. The other view is that they are over complicated and basic.
Demographics
You rarely see someone pick a gunner as their secondary, even rarer to see it as their primary class. Most of the time, people who use guns are of another class entirely. Unfortunately, this assumption happens a lot and leads to people to making mistakes.
Operations
Tools
Gunners use a multitude of different guns. However, some put attachments on their firearms, and others use outside materials to help them fight. One example is using smoke balls as a way to escape or flashbangs to confuse their target.
Materials
Every Gunner needs a firearm and ammo to function. Of course, what they use varies from person to person, but if they don't have these simple materials, they can't start their job in the morning.
CREATION OF THE CLASS
As previously stated, Gunner was the first ranger class to exist. It went through countless reworks and several different changes throughout its creation. I had some difficulty making this class for a couple of reasons. For one, I'm not well versed when it comes to guns. I know the simple stuff, and even that basic knowledge fails me. The second reason is I couldn't think how a gunner would progress beyond using and learning more about guns. The solution to the second situation was to focus on different aspects of progression and have the players use the guns they wanted. For the first, my admins are helping. In the end, I finished the class, and all could use the firearm system.
Demand
The demand for gunners is pretty low. People do not want to spend their money on ammo, nor do they want to keep track of a resource.
Legality
Being a Gunner is completely legal.
