What happens to the trash and sewage
In the villages food waste is turned into compost while trash is burned and put in a landfill a couple of miles outside the villages.Other places just burn their trash and put it in a landfill. Earth mages control that aspect to make sure that the trash doesn't affect the environment around them.
The sewage is treated like a similar way like modern times. They go through pipes to a treatment plant controlled by water mages. There the sewage is turned into clean water and put back in wells.
