Outlander.
Masha has not met many of the gods from her world's pantheon, but she has met some. She is generally suspicious of them and does not trust their intentions, but is willing to be friendly so long as they act the same (I think in general, they have a relaxed enough relationship that if she asked for help, she could get it give or take a bit of sass from some of them). She has met gods from Seromi's world, gods that are more personal and intimate with their followers, gods who walk among their people. She's fond of them—they are nice.
Masha was born and raised in the wilds of the forest and mountains. While not completely detached from society, Masha learned from her family how to survive and live amongst nature. Life was brutal but it was good. Disaster struck, as it always does, and Masha found herself alone. Left with the memories of her family, she clung to old habits. They used to sing, they used to play instruments, and so Masha found herself paying tribute to the goddess of music while she worked. Soon enough, the goddess took notice of this lonely woman singing in the woods and Seromi decided to observe her. And then a friendship bloomed and it became a romance and they got married and had kids and then those kids were kidnapped.
