Crystal of Divination
"It is a dull blue color, a pillar-crystal, with a hollow in the bottom of it. It must be prepared before use.
The crystal is an attachment to a staff, wand or other spellcasting focus. Create an alchemagical compound, a proper one relating to your desired subject of the divination (a piece of it, hair, etc), fill the hollow of the crystal, and seal the hollow with wax. Then, the crystal may be attached to the spellcasting focus and the needed spell can be channeled runically, verbally, etc.
When activated, the crystal glows and emits a blue smoke, floating in the direction of your subject."
